Painting workshop is a collection that provides the basic theoretical knowledge essential for starting out in painting. The still life, as a genre, presents a number of advantages for the beginner. It allows for a great variety of combinations and different points of view, a complete control of light, and the convenience of being able to work in the privacy of the study with no time limit.

This work offers a series of exercises, working with different types of subject matter, in order to put theoretical knowledge into practice, providing the novice with the opportunity to practice composition and the effects of shading on aspects of the still life, while it invites the experienced artist to improve pictorial techniques using different artistic procedures that are as up to date today as at any time in the past.
