The family house is a proposition that is never far from the thoughts of architects: they dream about it and build it in response to human beings’ material and spiritual needs, they turn it into an interpretation of diverse personal and cultural characteristics, and they design it to represent the trends of an age. In this search for the unique house, various typologies offer themselves as ideas from which the form of a building and the characteristics of its elements can be developed. This collection explores various “types” that have come to define the architectural composition of a family house.
